"If you pray and never doubt, the Lord will bring you out."

May 18, 2015

Hi everyone!:D

This week we've been meeting lots of good families, and some people who really seem ready. Heavenly Father blessed us a lot this week, and this week we set 10 baptisms!:D I've learned not to get too excited though because we meet a lot of people who are willing to listen and set dates but aren't too good at keeping commitments. We had lots of great people this week who really wanted to come to church but always on Saturday night weird things happen. Sunday morning literally all of the people we felt good about texted us with just crazy reasons why they couldn't come to church. Two cars broke down, three people in the hospital, and one psycho boyfriend. We taught his girlfriend and she seems super excited about getting baptized, so far she's been taught the restoration.

Do you guys remember that one little family I told you about that came to church 3 weeks ago? (He's come to church three times and his niece & daughter)?  It was the guy named Tim, he doesn't have a eye or tongue, and I told you guys that he's super nice. Last week we set him with a date of May 30th.  He's been taught the first three lessons and several of the others. Three days ago we taught Tim the Word Of Wisdom and the Law Of Chastity, and he seemed to really understand both things. After the closing prayer 16 year-old Tommy walked by (one of Tim's friends)  and this is what Tim said to him.

Tim: "Hey Tommy, C'mere. Imma teach you what they just told me. I made a commitment. Look at me! NO PORNOGRAPY! Abstinence!"

I LOVE TIM!:D lol He's really funny and is a super nice guy and wants to be a good example to his daughter. And every time we say a opening or closing prayer and one of his friends walks by he'll tell them to come say a prayer with us. And he's telling people to come to his baptism, he'll be like "your coming to my baptism right?" Tim is a really good missionary and he isn't even a member yet:) Two weeks till his baptism! I'm so excited for  him :D And he can't wait for his baptism either. Yesterday he almost gave me a heart attack, he told us he'd definitely be at church, and five minutes into it he wasn't there. Sister Moffett went outside and called him and he told her he had nothing to wear.

Sis Moffett "Tim, if you aren't here today, you CANNOT get baptized on the 30th"
Tim "I'll be there in 5"

Tim did end up coming ( I was so relieved!) and I don't think we have to worry a ton about him plus we're seeing him almost everyday We have some other really great people were teaching, but Tim is the only that has been able to come to church:( Oh well lol it still was a great week!:D We just have to keep working hard, do our best and rely on Heavenly Father.

Yesterday in the car we said a prayer right before a lesson and it was Sister Moffett's turn. And she said something really funny. Sister Moffett: "Please bless all the people we said we'd pray for" Then she ended the prayer, it was just funny because we meet people all the time and we say we'll pray for them but then we never do because we forget. After the prayer we just started laughing for 10 minutes lol I know it's not that funny, I guess you kinda had to be there :D

Love Sister Keables! :D

ONLY FIVE MORE DAYS TILL MOTHERS DAY!!!!

Hi Everybody!!!:D

ONLY FIVE MORE DAYS TILL MOTHERS DAY!!!! Can you tell I'm excited? lol :) My mission president said that we can do FaceTime or Skype, and will be doing it at a member's house. And the member is fine with either, I don't really care whichever one you think is best mom. Snap, Janae had her baby. Last week Julia had hers, there's a new baby every week lol Madeline is soooo cute. I love that her middle name is your name:) Can you send me that picture of Emma and Madeline? and the other two? I got the pictures from Costco, thank you! Were the two baby pics of Indie and Madeline or are they both of Indie? I have no idea who's who! lol

Last week we met this lady named Debra, she has a cute accent and is a really wonderful person. We shared a scripture and she invited us back. While we were leaving one of the things she said to us several times was "Ya'll a mess" I had to ask her what that meant because I wasn't sure, she said it meant cute or sweet. Debra says things like that all the time, and its really fun to talk to her. We saw her a few days ago and taught the Plan Of Salvation. The whole time we were teaching she was really excited about it:) And she asked good questions. Sister Moffett is a really good teacher, especially with using scriptures to answer questions. I don't remember what Debra's question was but Sis Moffett used a scripture and it totally answered her question perfectly. It was a really good lesson, and probably the best we've ever taught. While we were teaching we used the Book Of Mormon, and Debra really liked it. She even asked where she could get one :D We gave her a copy and said she could have it if she promised to read it. I'm really excited to see her again!:D This is one of the things she said in her words "shut up and keep talking" It was pretty funny but I guess you had to be there lol I wish we could have recorded that lesson, Debra said a lot of funny things.

Sister Moffett has a voice recorder and for the past couple of days she's been carrying it in her bag and it's recorded at least 6 of lessons and random things (oops lol) There were three different recordings and each almost 2 hours! I have no idea how that happen, so now we have to be really careful lol

Last week me and Sister Moffett slept outside:D We pulled our beds outside on our porch ended up sleeping the whole night outside lol Sister Moffett was freezing but I would totally do it again lol Sadly, I asked and she doesn't want to do it again:D

Love ya'll lots and can't wait to talk to you in 5 days!!!!!!! Also thanks for being the best parents ever!:D<3

Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ We Can All Return Back to Our Heavenly Father

April 27, 2015

Hi Mom and Dad!:D

I'm glad you enjoyed my email from last week! Everyday something small, funny things happen, and I started a quote journal. Whenever someone says something funny I write it down so know I can look back and still enjoy those moments. Sister Moffett is in it a lot and so is one of our investigators named Doug. He's hilarious and is always teasing Sister Moffett. Doug has been going to church for 7 years and knows a lot about the gospel. Sister Moffett told me that every time they set a date he ends up at the hospital. Last week we tried to set a date and had it all set up but Doug seems to be finding excuses to be busy or gone.  Me and Sister Moffett shared some scriptures about baptism and how important it is. We then talked about how if we know the gospel is true then we can't procrastinate the day of our repentance. I asked him if he wanted to get baptized, Doug said yes and that he knew he needed to. I asked after that if he would act on that desire by being baptized. He said yes and that he would look at his schedule. Sister Moffett told me that he says that a lot though so we'll see what happens.

Last week we met this girl named Debra that just had a baby and we taught her the Plan Of Salvation. Halfway through the lesson she started crying and said she wasn't happy. That she had everything but she wasn't happy. She expressed a desire to find joy and peace in her life and we told her we could give that to her. She also said that she felt that Heavenly Father had sent us to her. It was a really cool experience and I felt the Spirit very strongly. We promised her that the Gospel of Jesus Christ could give her that peace and joy. And that as she continued reading the Book Of Mormon that she would feel comfort and happiness come into her life.

I have a week in a half till this transfer is over and Sister Moffett told me that she'll likely stay with me:D We had a great week and I'm excited for this week! Last Friday our ward showed "Meet The Mormons" at the church and I love that movie! It was different watching it this time because the first time I watched it I wasn't a missionary. Watching the missionary say goodbye to his family made me think of when I said bye to you and dad. But it also reminded me how missionary work changes lives. How through the Gospel of Jesus Christ we can all return back to our Heavenly Father, no matter who we are.

I have to go and sorry for this email being so short, I love a missionary and helping people helping have the blessings I have!:D

Love Sister Keables!:D<3
