God sent us to her...

July 20, 2015

Hello Everyone!

This week was a really good week, we got 4 new investigators! (which is a lot for this area) And this lady named Dona came to church who me and Sister Elms have been trying to get to church sinse I've been here. I was SOO happy when I saw her!:D (I LOVE HER!)
A couple of days ago we were going tracting and met this older lady named Jean. She let us in and we taught her the Restoration.  The lesson went really well and we asked her at the end how she felt about the things we talked about. She said that she felt they were true and that God sent us to her. We told her that she was feeling the Holy Ghost testifying to her and that the Holy Ghost was present. She said that she believed us and that she really wanted to come to church. It was a great experience, and next time we see Jean were planning on asking her to be baptized:D Jean is super cute and sweet. Her voice is very feminine and Southern and she's a 60 year old black lady:D I love her! lol I have one last story to share but I need to go so i'll share it next week, sorry:(

Love Sister Keables!:D💗

We see little miracles everyday...

July 13, 2015

Hi Everyone!:D

I don't have really have anything new to share but I do have a cool finding experience:D
A couple of days ago when we were knocking doors we met this lady named Margo. She was super nice and let us share a scripture with her, we asked if she had heard of the Book Of Mormon and she said that she had one and she's reading it. (Me and Sister Elms were really surprised) Then she said that she loved it and said that it made it easier to understand the Bible. Margo was super open and said that we could came back, I'm really excited to see her again. Heavenly Father definitely has been preparing her:D There's a member in the ward that everyone knows and his name is Brother Buckley. He owns the only taxi business in Picayune and that's how he knows everyone. Margo asked if we knew Brother Buckley and we told her that we did. The next day we saw Brother Buckley at church and we told him we'd met Margo while knocking doors. He started crying because he had asked Margo if she wanted to meet with the missionaries and she always told him no thank you. And we just happen to knock on her door, Brother Buckley said we're angles and that we're guided by Heavenly Father. I know that Heavenly Father does guide us and he is definitely in charge of the missionary work.  I'm not sure I would use the word angles to describe me and Sister Elms, but we're trying to work hard, and as a result Heavenly Father is blessing us. I love being a missionary, I love sharing the gospel and helping them get closer to Heavenly Father. We see little miracles everyday and it truly is amazing watching people's lives change:D I know the gospel is true and I know without a shadow of a doubt that the only way we'll make it through the last days is by clinging to the gospel. Not just nibbling at it, but trying to live it the best we possible can and strengthening  our personal testimonies every single day. I know that the commandments are loving instruction from our Father in Heaven, and that when he asked us to do something we should do it, whether or not we understand it. Love ya'll and thanks for helping me become the person I am today:D

Love Sister Keables!!:D

I love baptisms!:D

Hi Mom!
A little information about my new area and companion. I love Picayune and the people here are really funny too:D Picayune is more flat then Vicksburg and a little smaller, and it has more swamps. My new companion, Sister Elms is the greatest person ever and a wonderful missionary. We have a lot in common and are really silly together:D She has two brothers and loves everything country and rustic:) We get along really well:D

What was your favorite thing about girls camp this year mom? I wish i could have gone with ya'll, maybe I'll go after my mission :D Did ya'll enjoy your 4th of July? Did ya'll do any fun it? Me and Sister Elms had a really fun 4th of July. The Bishop in this ward had a BBQ and he invited the whole ward.  It was really fun and me and Sister Elms went all out for it lol We both dressed up in red, white, and blue.  I had to borrow Sister Elms clothes though because I didn't have any summer cloths that would be cool enough:D We were very festive lol  The best part about the BBQ was what happened to one of the members. The Bishop has a pool and it's not the in ground pool.  He also had water guns, which me and Sister Elms took full advantage of:D Us and a couple of the members started attacking each other with water guns and after a bit we went after Brother Beasley. It was his wife's idea lol Awhile after we got him Sister Beasley was standing in front of the pool refilling her water guns. Elder Lovell and Brother Beasley slowly walked up behind her and then threw her into the pool lol It was really funny and the minute she got out of the she started stocking up on water guns:D
Later that day, one of the members took us to see a firework display and that was really fun too:D

A couple of days ago we had dinner at a member's house and they fed us venison stew, it was sooo good!!! I had three bowls and would have had a little more if we hadn't eaten it all lol It's a lot like beef stew, but just with deer meat. After we had dinner with the Nova's another member invited us over to have dessert. This family is the Beasley's and I love them!:D They're a awesome family and they make some really good dessert! I don't know how to spell what they call it but they were a little bit like scones. After we ate me and Sister Elms were in venison stew and scones coma, we were so full! lol

I almost forgot to tell you guys about Miss B's baptism, actually Sister B:D The baptism went really well and it was wonderful to see the light illuminating from her face after the baptism. She was really happy and you could see a difference. I love baptisms!:D It's a beautiful ceremony and the promises you make are powerful and great promises.  We're actually seeing her today and she's teaching us the Plan Of Salvation.

Got to go but love ya'll and have a great week!:D Sorry for such a short email

Love Sister Keables!!

I'm so grateful to the Spears and Heavenly Father.

Hi mom!:D

I got your package and loved it! Thanks for the hymn book and the pictures:) This week was a fun and awesome week! Quick story about how a member tricked us

Last week we went to see a less active but were't sure which house was he's so we kinda just guessed (People in the South don't believe in house numbers lol)  and knocked on a lot of the houses. No one answered so we went to the next house and knocked on the door. After we knocked on the front door and a minute or so had passed we assumed that no one was home. While we were standing there someone came from the back door and said hi to us. We told him that we had tried to see his neighbor because she was a member of our church and we wanted to come see her. He said she wasn't home and he asked what church we belonged to. We said that we were members of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, and that me and Sister Elms are missionaries for our church. We asked him if he's heard of our church and he said he had and that he knew a bit about it. He than asked us if we had something we wanted to teach him and his wife and invited us inside. At this point me and Sister Elms were getting excited, and had no idea we're talking to a member lol He let us in and went to get his wife. Right away me and Sister Elms noticed the Jesus statue and a picture of President Thomas S. Monson. We looked at each other and Sister Elms said "wait a minute" We were both just like, this has to be a memb'ers house. After a minute or two the guy and his wife come out and instantly Sister Elms reorganizes Sister Spears and she realized later that Brother Spears looked a little familiar. We all laughed about it, and we did end up teaching them a lesson. The Spears also asked us about our food and it we were getting fed. And up till a little more than a week ago we didn't have any food and no money left on our mission cards. When we told her that, she gave us piece of paper and told us to write down everything we needed and then the desires of our hearts. Then Sister Spears insisted on taking us grocery shopping and totally spoiled us. They were so generous willing to help and we told them how much we appreciated it and how much we loved them. They even gave me a bike, which I really, really needed because the next day we were going to be on bikes for a week and I didn't have one yet. In Picayune the Elders have the car for a week then they sisters get the car.  I like riding bikes but I'm excited to get the car back on Wednesday lol Getting a bike that I didn't even have to pay for was a huge blessing and I'm so grateful to the Spears and Heavenly Father.

One more tracting story then I have to go lol
Yesterday while we were knocking doors we met this guy and his wife and they were really nice people. Their names are George and Barbara. George was funny and there were some things he said that made me want to laugh. One of the things he talked about was the word (Gospel, scriptures) He was comparing it to weed and alcohol and how if your going to give someone something then you have to give them all of it or the real thing. "it aint pure! day be puttin suger in it! day cheatin the user! if the guy wants weed give em the good stuff wid out all dat crap. itz like da isralelits, dey wants to word but dey aint gittin it like dey should"

Got to go!:D Love ya'll
