"You can title my blog post, 'Food Fight and Cupcakes"'

Hi mom!:D

I know its crazy! I got transferred, wasn't expecting it at all. Zone Conference is actually at the Gulf of Mexico, so next time there's Zone Conference, I'll get to go to the beach:) Picayune is 30 minutes from New Orleans and I've been told that if you miss the turn then you'll end up in New Orleans because there isn't opportunity to turn around till you get there. I was hoping we would take miss the turn on the way to Picayune, that would have been so cool!:Dlol I think you're right about the location of my new area but I just got here so I have no idea were anything is lol

I got the fabric bags and thank you!! (I love mine!!!) They're super cute and Sister Moffett wanted me to tell you thank you for her:) We got the package about a week and a half ago so it still had plenty of time. I got Aunt Khristine's letter as well and loved it too! Please tell Aunt Khristine thank for me and tell Jeffery, Beth, Adam, and Anna that I loved their letters too!!:D Also I'm so jealous they got to see the Salt Lake Temple!:D

My new companion is Sister Elms and she's from Washington. She's super sweet and way more touchy feely then Sister Moffett was. She's a great missionary and she also loves to sing, which makes me really happy because Sister Moffett hated singing. So whenever we go and knock doors we just sing the whole time, it's the best:D  Yesterday we were knocking doors or tracting and we started to pass the little group of 60ish year old guys. They saw us and asked us to come over to them.  We did, and the minute we were close enough, one of the guys asked us to say a prayer for him lol We literally walked up and he bowed his head and gripped our hands and said "say a prayer for me" So we asked his name and Sister Elms said a prayer for him. (I love people in the South lol) And then all his friends wanted us to say prayers for them lol it was great:D The guy we first said a prayer for even asked us go inside his house and say a prayer for his mom.  He was going to have us a say one for his brother too but he was sleeping. I love the way people say prayers in South, there're just really into it lol (People in the South really like to hold hands while praying) Everytime we said a prayer the person we were praying for said things like amen, yes Jesus, or thank you. One of the guys asked us to pray for 10 years of good health and another one ask me to pray for his friends and halfway through the prayer when I was just going to prayer for his friends he said "And friends". And they had some friends show up that they wanted us to pray for they would be like "see that guy you need to pray for him" We said at least 7 prayers and give away 7 little cards. After the 7 prayers Sister Elms asked if we could share a scripture and they said that's fine, I don't remember what she shared but they liked it. After that they asked us to say a prayer for one of their friends () that just showed up. We did and he was very grateful:) After that we left and as we were walking away the group of guys were saying things like God bless you and spread the word. Almost forgot one of the guys was kinda drunk and asked us to get a demon out of him, so that was fun lol (we just did a normal prayer)

One of the things the a guy said during one of the prayers " yes, yes, YES, YES LORD!!!"

Guess what mom?! Yesterday I was in a food fight!(it was so fun!) Last night one of the members invited us and the Elders over to eat cupcakes on his porch. By the time the member went to bed there were still tons of cupcakes left and some how we started talking about food fights, and I said that I've always wanted to start a food fight or be in one, which was a mistake on my part.  I should not have said that in front of the Elders. Right after I said that Elder Lovell picked up two cupcakes, one in each hand. And stood in front of me and Sister Elms while we were on the porch swing, he asked us which favor we wanted but he was totally threating us. Sister Elms took some frosting from the cupcake then wiped it on my face. Then the war began....:D The minute she put a little bit on my face and I put some of it back on her's, Elder Lovell smashed the two cupcakes in our faces. After that me and Sister Elms were determined to get him back, I was only able to get him once but I got him so good lol Sister Elms got him a couple of times and got it all over his face as well. We ran out of cupcakes fast and for about 40 minutes we were chasing each other all over the place, by the time we ran out me, Sister Elms and Elder Lovell were covered in frosting and cake. The other Elder. Elder Bennett  was so clean compared to us. I got a ton in my hair and in my ear, and all over my face. It was so much fun!:Dlol We didn't eat a single cupcake , we destroyed those cupcakes and made a pretty big mess. But there was a hose so we cleaned it all up, including each other lol The elders let us spray them down which was fun and they did the same to us. (we were all soaked lol) When we were finished washing things off we started playing with the hose, but that didn't last very long because we needed to go home, but it was still fun. It was a really fun night and me and Sister Elms still want to get them back, it will probably have something to do with pies lol

There's a lady in that the sisters here have been teaching and she's getting baptized this Saturday. I've met her several times so far and she is so ready to get baptized. She loves the gospel and has a very strong testimony(I LOVE HER!!:D) Her name is Miss B and she's awesome! Her kids aren't sure about her joining the our church so they are planning on coming to church and her baptism to see what its all about.  I'm really excited for her. She's a really great missionary and seeing a baptism performed is a great way to introduce them to the church. She is even planning her baptism/and set her own date and that's normally what the missionaries do lol She asked us to perform a song at her baptism so its going to be me Sister Elms and Sister Olsen who originally taught her

Well I got to go but love ya'll and hope your having a wonderful week!!!!!!!:D (LOVE PICAYUNE AND MY NEW COMPANION!!!:D)

Love Sister Keables!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Goodbye to Vicksburg...

Hi mom!:D

This email is going to be super short because I don't have much time and I just needed to let your know that I got transferred this week. My new area is Picayune, Mississippi.

Sorry I didn't let you know Monday, I was going to but everyone was on the computers. This last Sunday was my last in Vicksburg and it was a really sad Sunday:( It was super sad leaving Vicksburg, I love the members and my investigators. I cried a lot of the day on Sunday, that's how sad I was. But it's ok I've heard great things about Picayune, and I'm excited to serve the people here. One of my investigators was this cute little family. It was a mom, daughter and aunt. Tristan ( the daughter) is so sweet and is very interested in learning more. An hour after I was told on Saturday that I was leaving we went to their house and told Emily (Tristen's mom) that I was leaving. Tristan went to work so she wasn't there. We called her at work and told her I was leaving, she was really sad too:( I asked them to come to church because it was my last Sunday, and told everyone that we saw that on Saturday. They actually came to church Sunday and I was soooo happy! They are so sweet! They even got me a going away present.  They gave me this super cute necklace and some pictures.

I really have to go!:D Bye!

Love, Sister Keables

June 9, 2015~ "All in all, an awesome week!"

Hi Everyone!

This week went by really fast and it was a great week! Tim got baptized last Saturday!:D It went well and a lot of the members came! I was so relieved! Five minutes before the program started there was hardly anyone there, but luckily that changed after 5 or 10 minutes into it. One of the families we invited even came, and its a really big family. They seemed to enjoy it and said they wanted to come to church as well. After Tim's baptism there was a barbeque and after that we had church tour. It wasn't super successful, but still fun.

We have this lady we're teaching named Shavonne and every time we see her she thinks we're Jehovah Witnesses lol And after we've convinced her we're Mormon she said sorry. She told us that someone told her that the only church that has people coming from door to door is the Jehovah Witness church. She told us that she would come to church this Sunday and see for herself but when a member went and tried to pick her up she wouldn't answer the door. I'm not sure why but we'll have to go back and see her and ask why she didn't come.

We went to a different church this Sunday at 8:30. The church was called The Greater Grove Church, and it was....different. When we walked in literally everyone except me and Sister Moffett was black. It was pretty fun and the first hour felt like a party. I couldn't see but it sounded like they had a live band there, it was soo loud! And the more people got into it the louder the band got lol The preacher started singing several times, he said things like praise the lord. And thank you Jesus. Towards the end they had three young guys dancing to a song and their faces were painted white.  People got so into it! lol :D When we all come back and visit, you guys have to go to that church with me! I would describe it in three words. funny, different, and loud. All in all, an awesome week!

Miss all of you and hope you guys have a great day!

Love, Sister Keables

June 1, 2015~ "The weather here is crazy!"

Hi everybody!:D

Awwww Hollly is so cute!! You have to send me pictures of Holly and Tyler and Natalie with Holly! She has so much hair.  I wonder where the dark hair comes from That's so cool that her b-day is on Tyler's anniversary of his accident. Also dad sent me some pictures on his ipad and if you could send me those as well, that would be really great! thank you!:) Congrats mom, you finished Butte!:D Tell Ryan and Tyler congrats too please! Have Dad and Tyler started working together yet? or does dad have to wait tell after he's finished at Safeway?

Yesterday me and Sister Moffet had one hour of knocking doors (we have to do 7 hours a week) and we were determined that the first two houses we were going to teach the Restoration and set two baptisms dates, the first house we met this guy in his 50's named Brother Clark. At first when we started talking to him i didn't think it was going to go anywhere, because he started talking about his dogs and when we mentioned sharing a message or scripture he didn't seem too interested. After about 5 minutes we were able to bring back the conversion to what we wanted to share and he said we could talk to his wife. He turned to Sister Moffett and said "She's your color" He let us in and we taught the restoration to him and his wife. The lesson went well and it was kinda hard to keep them from going off on tangents:D People in the South love to talk.. and talk:Dlol When we got to the Book Of Mormon, Sister Clark said she'd read it before in three days and she really liked it. Then she asked where she could get one, I love it when people say that:D Me and Sister Moffett always carry two Book of Mormons in our bags, so when she asked that, we smiled and said we actually had a couple of copies they could have. We gave her and Brother Clark Book Of Mormons and Sister Clark was looking through it and she stopped on the King Benjamin speech. She said I'm going to start here, we also marked the same chapter for Brother Clark so he could read with his wife. I LOVE THEM!!! They are very sweet and have been so prepared by Heavenly Father. Me and Sister Moffett always start with a prayer before we start knocking doors and Heavenly Father blesses us every time whether not people get baptized or even want to meet with us again at least were planting seeds and I'm happy doing whatever Heavenly Father wants me to do:D

Sad news Tim did not get baptized this last weekend, but we changed it to this Saturday because a girl named Afton, who had cancer, died last week on Sunday morning. Afton's funeral was the same time as Tim's baptism and we didn't think people would want to come so we change it to this Saturday. Tim didn't mind, he understood and is looking forward to getting baptism this Saturday.

This Saturday there's also a ward barbeque right after Tim's baptism. And after the barbeque there's going to be a church tour. Me and Sister Moffett are literally inviting everyone!:D And we really hope people will come, we even telling the people we know they can invite whoever they want too.

The weather here is crazy! it rains randomly and I always carry an umbrella with me. One minute it will be hot and the next it will be pouring rain. I never know what to wear in the morning because the weather here changes all the time lol

Love, Sister Keables

May 25, 2015~ "I love the Gospel so much!"

Hi everyone!!:D

Today is just a normal p-day but its still been a great day!:D
We're not teaching anyone to special right now, but Tim is getting baptized THIS Saturday!!!!! Six days ago we started him on the no smoking program and so far he's doing really well:D He's also been to church four times, which is a lot more than our other investigators. I think some of the funniest times we meet someone is when we accidentally called the wrong number or went to the wrong house, normally we're just like oh we're the Vicksburg sister missionaries. Do you want to come to church? lol No one's ever come when that happens, oh well:D At least we tried.

I got your letter mom!:D Alana is getting married?!  Tell her i say CONGRATS!!!!:D And that she's going to make a beautiful bride!<3 And that she has to send pictures!:D Also can you tell Shayla that i haven't got an email from her and i'm really sad, thanks!  (jk but I do really want to her to email me:) ) Thanks mom for sending me letters, its always great to hear how everyone is doing:D

Sorry email was so short today! I guess I'll just end with my testimony:) lol I know that God is our loving Heavenly Father that loves us and has given us this wonderful gospel that can bless lives and bring us closer to him. I know that i'm here for a reason and Heavenly Father has a plan for me, and i know that is aware of my every need and concern. I love the gospel so much!!!! and I will do everything I can to please my Father in Heaven. He has done so much for me, he has given me prayer, scriptures, this gospel, my family, and my leaders and friends. I am so grateful for the power of prayer and how through it he can give us comfort and peace. I'm grateful this opportunity that i have to change lives and serve my loving Heavenly Father.

Being on a mission is amazing and you learn so much everyday, I thought I knew a lot until I got on my mission lol When you teach you learn so much more! That's one of the things I love about teaching and helping people realize just how amazing this gospel is:D Got to go, Love all of you so much and thanks for being amazing!! ( the gospel is true!:D)

Love Sister Keables!!:D

P.S. I almost forgot to tell you guys that no one in the South can pronounce my name lol I've heard five different versions (probably more lol)  and most of the time they have to ask me how you say it. I don't really care, I just think it's funny because Keables really isn't that hard to say and there are some unique names here in the South lol I would write some down for you guys but I don't know how to spell most of them:D
