Christ is ALWAYS there for us...

April 25, 2016

Hey Everyone!
So this week was a fun and interesting week. Monday we went to the boardwalk, which is where some of these pictures are from. We had a lot of fun especially me because I'm not used to going to stores or having lots to do on Mondays. Shreveport is the biggest city in our mission, and I am not looking forward to driving in a big city!
Ok, so highlights from the week: A few days ago we saw one of our less-actives named Sister Lindsey and we taught she the Restoration. We had asked her early that week if we could practice the lessons on her and she said yes. Anyways, a little more than halfway through, she started to get teary-eyed after we testified of the Restoration, and the Spirit was very strong. We had no part in teaching that, it was all the Spirit. We started talking about the promises we make at baptism, and me and Sister Greenhalgh both
felt impressed to talk about the Sacrament. Sister Lindsey really opened up to us and said that she really missed the Sacrament. She told us a few other personal things, and why she hasn't been coming to church. We reassured her and testified of Jesus Christ and his love for us. We talked about how the Savior isn't waiting for us to be perfect; he doesn't just love us after we changed but will always love us and beckon us to him. That's one of the many things I've learned. No matter what we do, say or how broken, ashamed or guilty we feel Christ is ALWAYS there for us. There is peace and joy in turning to him. Every week I look forward to the Sacrament because I know we can feel peace, joy, and comfort. And sometimes life is really hard, sometimes we feel like were fighting our battles alone and we can't keep going. But each week we can renew our promises with him and we get a chance to receive strength and try one more time. Christ loves us as we are, his love is perfect, eternal, infinite, and real. And I am beyond grateful for his love in my life:D Towards the end of the lesson, we asked Sister Lindsey to pray for the strength to come to church and overcome the things she was struggling with. Through her tears, she prayed and asked Heavenly Father for help and courage to come to church. It was a great lesson all thanks to spirit!:D #WeAreNEVERAlone!:D
Also last week sometime, we set one of our investigators with a baptism date for May 21. Her Name is Miss Lee, and it was an amazing lesson! The Spirit was really strong, and again it was all the Holy Ghost:D There were a few questions the Spirit asked through us, and it was so cool to see how the message touched her heart and taught her. I would give ya'll more detail, but I have to go, but love ya'll and remember to keep the Lord 1st!:D

P.S. Tell Brandon happy birthday for me!

Love, Sister Keables
