So This is Where the Candy Comes In :D

February 15, 2016

Hi Everyone!

It was such a GOOD week!:D First off, i'll start with Tuesday!
So Tuesday we saw our investigator, Rae. And she's awesome! She has two children and they're both so cute! We taught Rae the Plan of Salvation and she told us it made sense to her. A member came with us and we asked her how she knew the gospel was true. She bore her testimony and the Spirit was so strong! After the lesson, the member insisted on taking us out to lunch, and it was really good!

We also went and saw one of our less-actives, and she's so sweet! After we went and saw her we might have sorta kinda gotten lost because we tried to take a short cut to get to a investigator's house. We walked our bikes through several fields and might have trespassed by accident:D lol We didn't got shot, so that was a blessing:D It took us about 15-20 minutes to get to a road. Luckily, we ended up on the right road. We happened to come out right next to a potential investigator and we decided to see if they were home. We knocked on their door and they welcomed us back in. We started talking to her about the Holy Ghost and little about the Book Of Mormon.  After a few minutes she started crying. The Spirit touched her heart, and it was very humbling watching the Spirit work with her. She was super sweet, and we set a return appointment with her.

After Beverly, we saw Kim. Kim is awesome! She's really open and super nice:D We had planned to see Kim and teach her the Restoration. Kim's sister happened to be there and her name is Stacy, and she started asking us questions like how is the Book Of Mormon different from the Bible and what is the difference between our church and others. We answered her questions about the Book Of Mormon and she was really interested in what we had to say. We didn't even offer her a Book Of Mormon, she just took the one she was reading from and said really wanted to study it and read it. We started teaching her the Restoration and when we got the the First Vision, she started crying. She left the room because she was crying so hard but came back in a few minutes. We told her that the Holy Spirit was testifying to her heart that the things we were saying were true and what she needed in her life was the gospel. I could see Stacy getting baptized this coming transfer, but we find when we started talking to her that she lives in Vicksburg. I LOVE watching the Spirit work with people. I love the days when we feel led by the Spirit and that's exactly what Tuesday was like. The whole day we were where Heavenly Father wanted us to be. We didn't follow our plan at all that day, but that's just fine because we met some awesome people who seemed super prepared and his plan/timing is our better than ours! I LOVE the Spirit, and missionary work!

We did service for our Bishop and his wife and it was so fun! We picked up sticks, almost started a forest fire, ate pizza which I haven't had in forever! (had 6 slices, still haven't gained weight!) Sister Eady also took pics of us while working so should be a few on Facebook.

Yesterday we had a crazy day and I almost forgot to tell ya'll about it! So to start a sweet family friend sent me a package full of candy and it literally brought me joy! By the way super sweet and kind of her, there's a card on its way! Anyways yesterday had to go and knock doors for awhile and on the way out of our apartment I decided to bring my box of candy so we would have something to snack on:D We went to the area we picked out to track and knock doors for 2 hours. On the way of of this neighborhood we passed a park and sitting by the swings there was a girl/lady laying on her back with another girl next to her crying, and there was another girl on a phone pacing back and forth. At first me and Sister Williams passed by and looked at each other, not sure what to do. But we turned around parked next to the park. We went up to the kids and asked what was going on and if there was anything we could do to help. They said that she (The girl laying down) might have had asthma attack and that someone was bring water to them. Thank goodness she was ok! So this is where the candy comes in:D We wanted to do something for them or help in some way, i remember all the candy I had in the car.  I told them to wait a sec and I went back to the car. And I came back with my box.  We all just chilled there eating my candy:D I ended up giving up most of my candy and they really appreciated it. It was a really good day!:D We did a lot of little things for service and we finally really got to talk to Kim's husband who has never really talked to us. We also invited them to church and told them it was my birthday that this coming Sunday, they told us they would be there!:D

That was pretty much our week! Darn, I'm running out of time! Love ya'll! And thanks for being awesome!!:D #MissionaryWorkIsDaBest! #Gospel's true!

Love, Sister Keables
